Thanks for the kind words, though maybe not the best parallel given Morocco's attitude on prolotysing.

Morocco Maps

I had problems downloading it from the above site but via via landed on this site and managed to download and install it without crashing Mapsource. In case you have problems too;

MOTOR-EUROPE.COM - Garmin Marokko Topo Map / Morocco Topo Map

Cheers,
Noel

I have a Zumo 550 and use the version without the topo overlay as it makes it easier to see tracks and you don't get confused trying to follow contour lines!

1. From GPS Vector Map Morocco download the second option (part 1-road map)

2. Create a directory on your machine, C:\myMaps\Maroc-Topo (observe capitalisation)

3. Unzip the downloaded file using Winzip or similar into the directory above

4. Double click on Maroc-Topo.reg. This updates the registry so that Mapsource is aware of the new maps.

5. Start Mapsource and select Maroc-Topo from the pull down list in the top left hand corner.

6. Select the maps you want to download. On the Zumo 550 the European maps are permanently downloaded on the GPS unit, so all you need to do is to select all the Maroc maps. Zoom out in Mapsource so you can see all of the country and draw a diagonal around it with the map tool. You will now have 174 maps selected.

7. Click on the maps tab to see the list of 174 maps and delete all of the 'topo overlay' maps from the list, leaving just the 87 street maps. Connect your Zumo to the PC and transfer > send to device > maps.

Tim
