Singapore to Adelaide (South Australia) - Help?
Hi,
I'm toying with the idea of sending my bike over from Singapore to Adelaide (South Australia). Time is not an issue, and I'll opt for the least hassle and best bang for the buck shipping route. I've looked up information in this forum and have found that this has indeed been done before, albeit not the shipping route I plan on taking. (source: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tri...eryResults.php) S'pore -> Fremantle (Western Australia) S'pore -> Darwin (Northern Territory) From the looks of it, it will be closer and perhaps cheaper to ship S'pore -> Fremantle (Western Australia). I could then ride the bike or send the bike overland to Adelaide (South Australia). However, if there are shipping companies which ship S'pore -> Adelaide direct, that will be awesome and would definitely save me the trouble. Look forward to hearing form you guys. Cheers! |

Hi there. Can't advise on the merits of shipping to Darwin versus Fremantle.
However, if time is not of the essence, I'd like to suggest that you ride the bike from whichever port to Adelaide. In either case it's a trip that will take several days to do comfortably, but if you've never ridden in the outback it should be a fulfilling experience. It won't require any off-road work unless you choose to leave the highway. |

Try Perkins Shipping in Darwin. They run a service from Singapore to Darwin. I think it is the cheapest way to get a bike into Australia. Clean your bike so it is better than new before you even think of bringing it into Australia.
