Satellite navigation

As my bike is very small and slow, (Honda 90), I choose to drive mostly on B roads, or minor roads avoiding motorways this usually involves buying a lot of expensive maps I am now considering buying a TomTom Rider 2 Sat Nav, for driving around Europe. This should allow me to go in and out of City centres with out too many diversions, or buying yet more city street maps! Is there anyone out there with Sat Nav experience, who has any wisdom on which, what to buy or avoid. Thanks.

Murphy,

If u're around next weekend for the HU meeting near Ripley, there are presentations on both the TomTom Rider and one of the Garmins (not sure which model). I'm presenting the TomTom Rider. If you can't make it, let me know, and I'll give you the lowdown on the Rider.

Alternatively, check out the on-line reviews. Make sure to do a Google search for something like the following: "TomTom Rider +issue".
