Estonia is superb. There last year. Cheap and beautiful. Don't miss Tallin and Laheema National Park. Need visa. Cheap.
Silja lines within Baltic are very classy and not too expensive. We travelled N'castle Gothenberg with another Co. MAG / BMF can get you 35% discount. Roads in Estonia are mixed - many 'tracks'. Language wasn't too much of a problem - food was excellent, juice no probs. No info on border to Russia I'm afraid other than be careful with belongings ! The people we met were either fantastic, or miserable - like being at home really !

Heyo, Boom boy

I will be traveling through same countries soon and would like to know if you've found/got any information on what the deal is with motorcycle insurance / carnets in those countries.

Thanks,

Adrian

From Bergen you could travel by ferry to Aberdeen with www.smyrilline.no, but due to the never-improving weather-conditons in Bergen, why not travel to Kristiansand instead, 5-6 hours away in great riding-conditions, and take www.dfds.no from there to Harwich? Beautyfull city, better ferries. Have a great journey!

By the way... Latvia,Lithuania and Estonia are Baltic States, Finland is a part of the Nordics, none of them are in Scandinavia. Norway is.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
