Round road trip from Pakistan to London Switzerland
 

We two couples are planning a round road trip starting from Pakistan then Iran , turkey London or Switzerland. Basically my trip is a round trip therefore I planned that in first way I will pass Iran and turkey as quick as possible and will see the locations in Iran and Turkey at the time of returning back from London or Switzerland,
With the help of one of my friend I have planned a mentioned route (Quetta - Taftan - Bam - Kerman - Yast - Teheran - Dogubayazit - Erzerum - Ankara - Istanbul - Thessaloniki - Igumenitza - Ancona - Turino - Paris - Calais - London) can you please advice if as per your exprience mentioned is the best posiable route or not and please also advice about the distance in KM and approx. time required between mentioned destinations something like (Quetta 650KM - 8 hours rough road Taftan XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Bam XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Kerman XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Yast XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Teheran XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Dogubayazit XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Erzerum XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Ankara XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Istanbul XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Thessaloniki XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Igumenitza XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Ancona XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Turino XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Paris XXXKM - X hours Perfect road Calais XXXKM - X hours Perfect road London).
If rather then London I would plan to go Switzerland then please advice from where I need to change above mentioned route and what would be the new route on above mentioned pattern which will include KM approx. required hours.

I'd like to answer exactly as requested, but it's impossible - no matter what I say, everyone else would completely disagree with me! Time required for a particular stretch on a tour is totally individual - everyone will be different.

How long to ride from City A to B? How long is a piece of string? How fast do you ride? What are you riding? How experienced are you? How often do you like to stop, do you want to see anything on the way, do you want to take photographs, talk to people, buy souvenirs, wander down interesting side roads - or is it a race?

Are you beginning to understand the difficulty?

The best advice I can give is to follow approximately the route you have laid out, and be prepared to change it as you go - DON'T lock yourself into an inflexible schedule and route. You WILL find that there are places along the way you want to spend more time, and places that are much less interesting than you thought, so you will want to move on more quickly than planned.

Travel in the appropriate direction for about half the time you have, then turn around and head home. That's really all the planning you want to do. You will enjoy the trip far more, you can be sure. Many travellers have discovered that the most careful planning falls apart about a week down the road.
