Road of Bones

Hi everyone. I'm currently in the process of planning another ride. I'm not sure whether or not I should have a little ride to Cape Town or cross Siberia. Is there anyone out there that has successfully ridden the 'Road of Bones' solo? If so, how did you manage the river crossings? I do know very few people have done this alone, just wondered if anyone on here had.

Any info appreciated. Cheers.

Did you try looking at the Northern Asia forum?
There is loads of information there, some from just a couple weeks ago.

Africa or Siberia

I was doing the first last year and hoping to do the second next year. The CapeTown via west coast trip, although my first big trip, has given me memories that all other trips will be measured against. Fantastic.

Thanks for taking the time to answer, Chris. I guess I was just too lazy to search on here. Just had a good look at the extreme siberia site, Walter & Tony. Absolutely fantastic.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
