rainy season blues

hey all,
I'm headed to SA in september and driving up to Kenya. hopefully ariving in MAy. all i've been able to find in my endless searches is, hot/wet/cold with no real idea how wet or hot it gets. I may only have a 2wheel drive but may spalsh out 4 a 4x4 if it's deemed necessary. As January to May is the rainy season for most of the south east coast I'm wondering what places i should avoid due to peak rainy season.(more sepcificaly the main countries i'll be in are MOZ/ZIM/ZAMBIA/MALAWI/KENY)

If you have any tips or a website suggestion i'm all ears.

thanks for the help
mike

Hi Mike
Try this:
http://www.worldclimate.com/
You have to decipher rainfall stats etc but it might help. I'm hoping to be in Kenya around May as well (coming in the other direction). Have fun!

You might want to also try
www.weatherbase.com

I have yet to find one website that is comprehensive for international historical weather data.

i was hopping to get a bit more practical info like, we didn't leave for a week due to rain, the roads were horrible during ....... this time of year.

for instnace: they say it rains alot in Kenya around april /may are we going to get stuck for days or hours?

when would you recommend not to be in zimbabwe /zambia/ tanzania /kenya.

thanks again
