Interested in your thoughts - particularly about the route between Budapest and Zagreb and southern Germany. I'm heading for nature parks in Germany and Austria for camping.

Anything I'm driving past that I can't miss? Anything I just have to see?

Thoughts welcome.

All depends on your interests and riding style (bike) but I wouldn't do that route without considering the Nurburgring and the Stelvio pass and possibly if you have a little extra time the Transfargasan.

That's really helpful - thank you.

I ride an XT660X, don't tend to blat but enjoy twisting back roads - so I may give the Nurburgring a miss... but now I'm googling the Stelvio pass and the Transfargasan..... no idea what they are... back soon....

330 miles per day over the alps?

Okay that's quite exciting - I think I can make that work.... well the Stelvio Pass anyway... Romania is pushing it a little I think... in fact doing Stelvio makes those two days more equal... but is it realistic to be able to do just shy of 330 miles each day over the alps?

Here's the revised route on Google Maps.
