Hi rc,
My "first adventure" started in Eastern Canada, and led me west and north to the Arctic Ocean, Deadhorse, Prudhoe Bay, then south to San Diego and all the way down to Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. Once on the go, I couldn't stop. You can read all about it in my first (of four) motorcycle travel books, listed in the "Books" section of this website. (8 Around the Americas on a Motorcycle). Get inspired!

If i had a choice, and having travelled many different highways along the western states, i would sugest following the breath-taking coastline. Following highway #1 from SanDiego to SanFrancisco, taking your time and film along the fabulous coastal range. Continue North along the coast to the great California Redwood Forrest. Be sure to find directions to the Usal Rd while in Ft. Bragg, 18 miles north of town. This is the back-road to the stunning Lost Coast! http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif
...Thats all for now...
