Magadan to Istanbul (via Silk Route)

I am considering a trip from Magadan to Istanbul, via Yakutsk, Chita, Ulan Ude, Irkutsk, across Western Mongolia (if possible avoiding Ulaan Baatar), into Western China (barkol), to Urumqi, ALma Ata, Frunze, Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Ashkhabad, Tehran, Tabriz, Yerevan, across Turkey to Istanbul. Planning to leave from Magadan in Summer (June).

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Wow. Is this anywhere near the "road of bones"?

The travel writer and tour organiser Jonny Bealby knows the 'Stans well. I met him in the pub last year. Don't know how helpful he'll be but if you want his email address send me a private message.

Adrian. Sounds Brilliant. If you want to catch up for a let me know as I am back in Melbourne and did some of your intended route last year....ooo that sounds bad. I know of three other Melbourne bikers looking at Russia this northern summer.
