Istanbul to Dubrovnik 2008
 

Hi, my wife and I are planning to travel from Istanbul to Dubrovnik in April 08 on a road bike. Advise on route, personal safety, points of interest and road condition would be appreciated. With thanks Chris.

If you take a look at the "Europe" forum, you will see a load of discussion about that area.
After reading that lot, you will have your own, clearer ideas of where you want to go and what you want to see etc and then you can ask more detailed questions.

The best (fast) route for you: Istanbul-Sofia-Nis-Krusevac-Uzice-Podgorica-Kotor-Dubrovnik. You can stay in beauty Rila mountine near Sofia. Near Uzice in Serbia, you can see very nice scenery on Zlatibor, big tourists centar, 200km away you see national park "biogradska gora (mountines and lake).
