Into Nepal via India - How far West can I enter?
 

Question on getting into Nepal .... Do I have to ride all the way to Gorakhpur and then NE to Kathmandu, or can I enter much before that, say in the West of the country? Anyone know?

It is a long time ago, but i entered in 1996 into Nepal via the very western point of Nepal from India. That time there was a Carnet de Passage required, i think it is still the same, than i left the same boarder again in 1997, i do not remember the name now, but it is about 300km from Delhi and about 600km from Kathmandu. Was not a problem at all!
