IBIZA-Getting there

I have been looking around and see that ferries take bike to Ibiza from
a port called Denia and also from Valencia- but at a cost of Euros 180 return. Does anyone else have a more economical solution please!

Don't bother!
t's a major rip off either from Denia or (longer) via Barcelona.
I booked via directferries (who never replied to what I experienced...)
I got ripped off by Balerias, who despite my having their confirmation in writing for a vehicle 'up to 6 meters long', refused me passage unless I paid them extra . I had no choice. Chatting to a policeman there about this, his response was "this is Ibiza!"
They also cancelled my return ferry on the 'official'excuse of 'bad weather' ... humm... more like insufficient bookings as a staff member casually mentioned!
No phone or text call to warn me despite being required to provide a mobile number for this purpose.
If you thought pirates only operate near Somalia.....think again!

Thanks for the heads up Bertrand...the more I research about Ibiza, the more I am put off by the prices etc...the price of a music capital!

It is a shame. 25 years ago it was a welcoming little island much like Lanzarote. Things change and sometimes for the worse.
It happens. Very expensive too.
If you read Ted Simon's book on his second trip, he experiences, on a huge scale, disappointments when he returned to places he once loved and which had changed beyond recognition.
Save your money and head for the Pyrennees or the Alps.
Croatia is beautiful too but, with the approach of it becoming part of the EU, their prices have shot up.

RIght enough! Never go back.
For myself, I have stopped going to Mediterranean islands for this reason.
(But it is necessary for folks to visit in the first place).

The only constant is change.
