How do you avoid cold and rain when going RTW?

I'm leaving the UK in October, and don't much mind where I go so long as it's warm and dry. So I'm thinking I'll get out of Europe as fast as possible. But after that should I go South or East? Do Africa first and then head towards the Middle East in the spring? Or do the Middle East first, then Asia, then SE Asia, and save Africa for another time? And if you want to avoid rainy seasons - especially in countries with dirt roads - do you have to ride really fast to keep ahead of the weather?

Hi Nick,

I planed my route with info from WWW.WORLDCLIMATE.COM
They have tables with average rain and temp for every month.
In this way I plotted my course through dry and warm territory

Have fun.
