Help? Getting from Ukraine to SE Asia/India

Hi,

At the planning stage for RTW trip and I'm a little stuck. I've got Europe to Ukraine covered, and I've got most of SE Asia to Oz covered, but the in between part is causing me some trouble.

I could use some advice getting from Ukraine to SE Asia or India.

I've learned that Pakistan Visa is near impossible to get, Riding through Afganistan to India doesn't seem like the best way to go, and not sure I would get a Visa for Afgan.

I've been looking to see if there is a ferry/boat I can get from Iran to India, but it doesn't exist.

If anyone could offer advice I would be very grateful! Or a route I hadn't thought about?!?

hi,
i'd the same trouble 2 years ago. i was stuck in tehran w/out any chanche to get a pak visa at all. i've managed the whole situation shipping the bike & me on a plane from tehran to mumbay. if were in you once in tehran i would try to get in deal with a shipper at mehrabad airport. mine was sama rah cargo service. their office is in the cargo area just in front of terminal 2. the whole proccess it cost me 600$ (custom clearance, crating, agent commission, etc.)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
