Has anyone ridden the Isibania border crossing Kenya-TZ

We're considering a trip crossing at Isibania then want to get down to Namanga via the B144 (through Serengeti & NgoroNgoro) to cross back into Kenya there. This entails a real off-road trek from Tarime - Nyamwaga - ??? I'm reading that NgoroNgoro is really not worth the expense of riding through, especially when Kenya's Rift Valley escarpment blows your mind for free! Has anyone any experience of a route Isibania to the B144 SW of the closed Mara border crossing ? Google map here.
