Germany to Thailand...help
 

So here's the idea...

I finish Grad school this coming June 2004. Hopefully I will be getting a job in either Thailand or Shanghai post graduation however if I dont have one lined up when I finish my plan is to move to one of the two locations and perform my job search there. Here's the question...

Ideally I would like to fly from Denver to Germany, pick up a new or slightly used 1150GS and then do a solo ride to my final destination. Granted Shaghai is roughly 11,500 miles so not a short jaunt in the least however this is the ride of a dream that I have been imagining for a long long time. How doable is this really? how many weeks should I plan? How available is gas in the middle of China? (I have lived in Hong Kong and spent time in some of the other large cities but never traveled to the central area).

I am still in the planning/dream stages but any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.
