Germany-Poland-Czechoslovakia

Five of us are planning a 6 day trip through Germany possibly taking in some of Poland and maybe Prague. We are going end April / beginning of May. Whilst we have considerable experience of France and Spain we are a bit lacking in experience of Germany and Eastern regions. Probable route is Rotterdam - Kassel - Leipzig / Chemnitz - Katowitze - (poss Prague) and return.
Any views / reccomendations, areas worth going / not going etc?

Your opinions / reccomendations will be greatly appreciated.

I think there is nothing interesting in Katowice as long as you don`t have very specific taste.. if it was your only experience of Poland, it`s better not to have it. You have very little time.. but I bet, you`ll like places as Wroclaw (!), Poznan or Krakow (!) more (if you want to visit a big city).
