CIS States - Entry and Exit Points

1. Can anyone advise as to whether it is possible to use the following border points:
(a) from The Russian Federation to Kazakhstan via the border crossing point near to Ust-Kamenogorsk in Kazakhstan (I do not know the exact name of the border crossing point);
(b) from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan via the border crossing near Kegen in Kazakhstan (I do not know the exact name of the border crossing point).
(c) from Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan on via the border crossing near Sary Tash in Kyrgyzstan (I do not know the exact name of the border crossing point).
(d) from Tajikistan to Uzbekistan via the border crossing at Tursanzade.
(e) from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan via the border crossing at Farab.
(f) from Turkmenistan to Iran via the border crossing at Gaurdan.

Thanks,

Peter

hello,

i was there in 2002, see practical info on :
http://vincent.danna.free.fr/infos/index.html
included all the border crossings i did for those countries and more ...

things change (bilateral/multilateral border crossings, visas, insurances ...) : check plenty of info/updates on the northern asia forum.

happy trails,

In 2004 I crossed the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan at Kegen. No problem; the road is in reasonable condition.
