Circumnavigating the US

Hey all. Was just wondering if anyone has followed the border around the US? I can't really find anything on the internet about folks making the trip.
Thanks,

There are many small roads in Arizona that skirt the border. Just be aware of the danger at night from snakes, smugglers, and the heat. California doesn't really have any roads that parrallel the border, other than Interstate 8 that gets very close, and Highway 98 that runs into Calexico (it breaks off from I8). However, due to a long-term project, it does not run all the way through. East of Arizona, I am not familiar with.

I was looking at a map recently, and you would have better luck, at least along the southern border of the US to ride on the Mexican side. Mexico seems to have a road, Route 2, that skirts the border for several hundred km's. Check out this map.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the trip could be made in 45 days or so. I could be terribly misguided here but that is my best guestimate...

Round the US perimeter.

I have a friend who recently rode the gravel and back roads along the montana and part of north dakota border. Let me know if you want his email. It took a small group of dedicated riders quite a few days just on this portion of the ride.

is a travelogue of Carla King in her misadventures circumnavigating the US. (California to Washington, Washington to Maine, Maine to Florida, Florida to California) She does this on a Ural (Urinal) Motorcycle and given the number of times this most unworthy piece of debris :mad2: masquerading as a motorcycle broke down, is to be commended for her perseverence.
