Bike dealer in Chile

Hi Everybody;

I have been on here for awhile researching a trip to south America in January or February of 2013. Unfortunatly we only have 2 months to spend so it did not take too long to realize that riding down from Ontario, Canada was not going to happen so the choices as far as I could see was to fly our bikes down or buy bikes somewhere in SA. Looking further into it, it appears the most cost effective thing to do is to purchase a bike in Chile and ride it for the 2 months then sell it hopefully back to the dealer where we bought it and fly home.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a bike dealer in Chile who can speak some english that might be interested in helping out.
Also open to other suggestions.
Thanks in advance
Jim

No personal experience, but a simple Google search or search here on HUBB will get you at least these to get started:

MotoMundi - $category.Title
-- Suzuki Ovalle --
BMW Motorrad Latin America

Thank you very much! I am not sure what I was searching for yesterday but I did not have very much luck I did however read the thread about buying a bike in Chile and that is why I am starting to look for dealers there it would be nice to be able to set something up before we go.
Thanks again.

here's Yamaha/Euromot dealer

Ciclomoto.cl :: Descubre Ciclomoto near downtown Santiago, not sure about buy-back.

speaks some English and is trustworthy - I bought Euromot 200 from him and NO problems at all - they sell Yamaha also.

We just got bikes in Santiago

Hi
we just bouth two nice Transalp 2005 from a very trustworthy fellow in Santiago. The store is called Colvin y Colvin:
COLVIN.CL - Powered by MgEditor V 3.6
Winston above them all, but also some other guys as his son Patricio and Quido, the head mechanics, speak a decent English and are more than willing to help. We spent about 10 days with them, doing mech.stuff on the bikes, buy them, they got all the paperworks for us done and we never ever felt they wanted to cheat on us -
Be nice to them, use their service, get them a little thank-you-gift (for us Swiss folk it's been easy with some chocolate) and tell them I sent you... We have a year in S.America and they told us we could sell the bikes at their place again without problem. Not the same price of course, but a good rate -

If more info is needed: write a pers.message :)

*have fun!!
