Best route through Baja? Best route through Copper Canyon?

Hey all, making the trip down baja then crossing to mainland to hit Copper Canyon. Ive been researching on the internet but human input is always the best. What would yall say the best routes are to go through and experiance these? Im on a venerable KLR650 running Karoo's and want this to be as offroad/interesting as possible, the less pavement the better!

Also I know this is wrong section for it but if anyone want to come with Ill be leaving for this in mid to late november.

From Los mochis, go to Choix, then keep on going to Divisadero, near Creel. Its a long, hard day, but dirt all the way from Choix. Also nice and remote in places. Have fun.

I've run several loops on the canyon roads.

One option is:
Alamos to Chinipas
Chinipas to Creel
Creel to Batopilas
Batopilas to Urique
Urique to Choix/El Fuerte

Mike or Lone R.- Do you know of a good map of the Copper Canyon region? Everything I've seen is large scale or generic, are they OK to use? Or perhaps a database of waypoints? I talked to someone who recently drove a RAV4 from El Fuerte to Creel. It was confusing with unmarked forks in the (pretty bad) road.

Not really, my GPS had packed in by this point and my map was a large scale Rough Guide one for Mexico. I didn't even know there was a dirt road running from Divisadero to Choix until I spoke to someone on a tourist stall in Divisadero so I just headed in that direction. Just ask the locals I reckon.

Ha, ha.....that's a funny one. :)

There are no good maps of CC. Some maps get part of it right, but are always wrong in some areas.
Copper Canyon Mexico - Visit us for accommodations, tours, and horseback riding has some good mile-by-mile directions for some routes. Dig into their website and you'll find them.

Adventure Rider Motorcycle Forum probably has some GPS tracks stashed within the Making Tracks Forum.

When down there, always ask directions when uncertain. It's a great area.
