Best route from Chile to Uyuni or Sucre (bolivia)
 

Hola amigos,

On my map it seems that there are two options, one being Ruta 15 from Huara (near iquique) or Ruta 11 from Arica, both of which are north of the salt lakes.

I am wondering which would be the best route of these (or another that you know from anywhere north of La Serena and one which can be ridden at this time of year), preferably one which is reasonably safe, has accommodation along the way (though I do have a tent), hopefully some traffic in case I get stuck as I am riding solo on a Honda XL 200.

actually nevermind I think I will go through mendoza!
