Hey Maluk,

If you skip the Loofoten islands, do at least route 17. Is one of most famous costal routes of Norway. If you are interested in tips and GPS coordinates of places the the Baltic's and Scandinavia have a look at my website www.realizeddream.com under Tips / GPS.

Cheers Richard

coming via the Baltic states and headed for Nordkapp, the most logical route would be through Finland, eastern and northern parts being more scenic than south & west. But if you gotta go to Sweden, then try to avoid the coastal route north, its boring.

Norway is without a doubt the most scenic country in Scandinavia, but keep in mind it's very slow-going. And it can rain a lot, especially on the areas near Bergen you'll need to get very lucky to stay dry. But sometimes, like this year, it can rain most of the time in Finland as well.

Hello all,

Do you all think my original route is doable in 30 days or less?

Richard,

Thanks for the coordinates. BTW, That is an impressive journey you got going there. :thumbup1: Keep rolling my man!

Indu,

I read your website a few months ago. It is because of you that I decided to go thru Norway.

My original plan was to go south to Montenegro, but after reading your blogs and seeing your photos I decided to "can" the old plan and came up with this one. May be we can catch up somewhere next summer and have a beer. bier

Pecha,

Thanks for the tip. I will look at my maps carefully and post an alternate route for all to see.

I only have 30 days vacation, So I have to do the best with the little time that I have.

I'm all in for a beer! Just say when you're in the area and we could grab a couple of cold ones and brag a bit :-)

Alright :mchappy:

I started planing this trip last year. After some unexpected "hard-negotiations" with the wife doh...I finally got a kitchen pass!!!

Expected departure date as of right now 14 June...30 days on the road!!

I have taken everyone suggestions into consideration and re-routed my plans I will spend a lot more time in Norway than originally anticipated and if necessary I will leave the Baltic States for another trip.
