Australia North to top of Russia - Alaska - Canada (Possible?????)

ok. i have been travelling around australia for a few months now, and have a decision to make, i either want to ride back home to england, which has its own set of problems, (ie burma, vietnam, china etc, middle east )

or i was giong to ride up north, s.e asia, through to japan, japan back to russia....

then there is the void of how i get into alaska, i have been searching the threads and all i can find is people who claim its very hard to get any real information and its mostly 1-2 years old. Is there anyone who has done it recently, with recent prices for flights, shipping etc.

i suppose the place that you have to get flown into is anchorage...

i want to ride as much of the journey as possible, and dont want to skip large areas of wilderness on flights etc.

.....

in referance to riding home to england, its pretty much impossible to ride home, you have to get on a flight at some point ay?

cheers

Joel

The long way home

I would have thought the best way to go would be to fly to Korea or Japan, ferry cross to Vlad and then ride across Russia with side trips to Mongolia, Ukraine or where ever. Thats a trip i'd love to do.

I just got back from my trip from brisbane to moscow. Due to timing of everything i flew the bike twice, first time from Brisbane to Thailand and then Cambodia to South Korea. Then i took a boat to Zarabino (customs is easier there) if you have any questions just ask away!
