Antarctica visting from Ushuaia
 

Time to time I ear about riders who went to Ushuaia that got a relative inexpensive ship to go visit Antarctica for a few days.
I never got any first hand experience on how that would be.
Is there any rider here who actually did this cruise trip? I would like to know how are the options there to be in Ushuaia around news's year and get some not too expensive 5 to 7 days trip to the 7th. continent.

Hi,if there's only one thing you do in your life it has to be antarctica,awesome i did a 10 day trip with quark expeditons in 1996 it was $3500 us then check the price they still go down,ship was the molchanov great trip,spectacular lighting.penguin chicks will be hatched by then,it takes 48 hours to get across the drake to the peninsula so 5 days is far to short.Check availability now don't know if they would have places if you just turn up,try world expeditons in aussie as well,quark is us based using russian ship and crew,ice strenghtened,see ya ron.
