Albania by motorcycle
 

We are 3 Americans planning to travel from north western Greece west to the Albanian Coast and then up the coast towards Italy (and on). Does anyone know if:
a: The border crossing on E853 near Ktismata, GR into Albania is open?
b: If the route is relatively safe from civil unrest?
c: If the border crossing near Shtuf, AB going into Sukobin and Bari is open?
d: Any advice?
