Smile South America - "No comprendo" trip

Okay, here we are!

Anton and Polina from Russia, Moscow
travelling two-up on a Yamaha xt660z Tenere.

Nothing special, except we are 23 (seems young comparing to average adventurers here )

We have sent our bike from Moscow to B.Aires on 16th of January.
We went up to Iguazu falls (hot!), crossed the Brazilian border and made it to Florianopolis (one of the most scenic parts so far), made a little trip to Itabenzhinho canyons and Gromado, went down through Uruguay to Montevideo and returned back to Argentina.
Now we have just hit 6000 km (San Antonio Oeste / Las Grutas) and heading south to Patagonia.

I would gladly answer any questions concerning the part of trip we have already made. (i will post our travel map soon!)

And would REALLY appreciate if you will post any links or tips concerning the ruta 40.

Current plan is going down to Puerto Madryn,
then south to Comodoro Rivadavia,
then west to Coihaque,
back to Argentina and down to El Calafate, (that should be tough:confused1
Puerto Natales....

What are the best places on the route? should i take some parts of chilean ruta 7?

and yes we have a website: Love where the world ends
A facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/nocomprendoru

and we are on instagram:
Instagram
Instagram
(which we update daily)

thx

No Fumar Espanol?

Good luck on your ride ...
I'm surprised you started your ride by heading NORTH up to Iguazu Falls ... January is the HOTTEST time of the year. Maybe too hot for Russians?

Better to go SOUTH and stay down south until March or so. Southern Chile and Argentina have great weather from November to March. After March, things cool down and then it is the time to go NORTH.

Very professional web site! Are you producing a Film? Book?
I recommend taking a month off to study Spanish. Should be easy!

THX, maybe it was a mistake to go to iguazu first, but we needed to check our bike and ourselves on a civilized part before we went to patagonia
anyway we have already did it and now going down!

yeah, we will make a book.

Hi, I arrived a bit before you in Buenos Aires, but from England. My story is on 2wheeltravels | Mike's trip to South America. I am doing a different route to you, going south on Ruta 3 and then north through Chile and Argentina. I am currently in Santiago. Take a look at the blog. I'd be very happy to answer any questions on my route. I'm here for a couple of days before I hit the road again (getting good wifi is the trick).
Ride safe

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
