Vietnam with KTM dirtbikes motorbikes

Hi there,

We drove with 2 KTM dirtbikes in Vietnam visiting off course the war museum, the tunnels but also the beach and beautifull nature parcs.
Crazy traffic (no rules), the best off road tracks but also crazy driving on the paved roads. We did see many (nearly) accidents and did also capture some on film. (see below)

I am making a complete travelstory and will post it on our website Life Is Joy - Home and offcourse one on this website.

The film is already finished and you can watch it on:
http://www.lifeisjoy.nl/travelmovie.php?v=85izLn315Do

Please rank the movie on youtube, thanks.

Enjoy!

Great stuff, loved the Chu Chi tunnel scenes. So few Americans have any clue (even today) about just how effective tunnel warfare was or that it even existed. A good friend was a "Tunnel rat" during the war. Horrible job.

The bike riding looks even more intense than Thailand or Cambodia. Yikes!
So glad you survived!

QUESTION:
Where did you get the KTM's? Are they sold or rented locally? Are those KTM's from India, as now an Indian company owns part of KTM and are building bikes there. Are they 125cc? Comments on them?

I would love to go but do not want to import a bike, what is the best plan for rental?

Thanks so much for posting, loved your film, it shows lots of hard work, good music and editing too!

Cheers!

Thanks guys,

@Mickey, we rented them in Saigon.
We are not sure about the orgin of the KTM, we did hear something about Thaiwan.....
They were perfect for the job. Only 150cc, but also perfect light and better and longer suspension than scooters.

Awesome, thanks for the updated links!

I've been to Vietnam once before, but next time I went to rent/buy a scooter and ride between Saigon and Hanoi. Looks so fun.
