On tour in Brazil

At the moment I'm in the middle of a fantastic two-week tour around Brazil and thought that some of you may appreciate the photos, I know that I certainly appreciate yours when I'm back in the old office cube hehe

Rio de Janeiro - We arrived a few days early and had lunch at our friends place up on the mountain here

Lunch at Fiera de San Cristovao

Federico and Roberto, part of the crew

We of course visited Christ the Redeemer. Would you believe it was raining for several days since we arrived in Rio but the clouds separated the moment we reached the top of the mountain? Co-incidence or fate?

Don't worry, the bike pics will come in the next post

We came across many Brazilian biker clubs during the trip, always very friendly but hard to speak to without any Portuguese, thankfully people were able to translate

Ouro Preto was a very picturesque colonial town built on the back of the Atlantic slave trade. When you arrive here you really feel like you are in South America.

Old vs new

Festivities were common due to the many universities nearby

We stayed in a very beautiful hotel

Time to hit the road!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
