Iceland by Africa Twin

Hi folks,

I've been a member for a few years now, but this is my first post.
I jumped on my bike this summer and headed to Norway then ended up going to Iceland too. I just wrote out a blog of the first part of the Iceland trip complete with a few 360 degree panoramic photos.

David's Blog: Iceland Part 1

I'll get around to part 2 at some point soon.

Kiwi?? I thought he was Australian. What's the chances of you finding my post!? Iceland part 2 next then I'll write a bit about Norway after.
Hey, by the way, if you're picking up your new bike this weekend... Feel free to ride up and give me a shot of it.

I finally got around to writing a bit more about my trip to Iceland, even managed to included a few more 360 photos too!

Originally I had thought part 2 would be the last part, but it looked a bit too long to post as 1, so I'll do part 3 and maybe even part 4 some time soonish.

Hi All,

I've finally finished part 3 where I fitted my offroad tyres headed inland to the remote interior of Iceland. I had to ride my Africa Twin into a 70cm deep freezing cold river, the water from which was part of one of the biggest glacier in Europe only a few days before. I was later told that this river has a habit of drowning 4x4s.

I also managed to get a few more 360 panoramic photos too.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
