DD2012 for Help for Heroes
We completed on Saturday our expedition on motorbikes in aid of Help for Heroes. Our original plan was to go from Uk to Dubai but due to the trouble that hit the Arab nations 5 days before our departure regarding the you tube film and the killing of the US Ambassador we had to dramatically change our plans in 5 days.
Instead we did a trip around the Black Sea through: UK France Belgium Holland Germany Poland Czech Republic Ukraine Russia Georgia Turkey Bulgaria Greece Serbia Croatia Slovenia Austria Luxembourg A trip of 6300 miles in 14 days. The Military Road in Georgia was spectacular and apart from the 20km or so of real rough rough it was a road that everyone should drive. Long mountain straights, high speed switch backs it had everything. Russia was great and very friendly. The Ukraine roads....stay away from them, they are a nightmare!! All in all a fantastic expedition. If anyone has any questions on any element please just ask.
