Hi Gino,

Looking forward to following your posts. I'm near Dundee just up the road from where you've came from! Hoped to meet you this year as I've just got myself a Fastback...but I guess that'll have to wait. I'm planning the same trip in a few years time so it's going to be really interesting to see how you both get on.

Best wishes - Alan

So we made it to Ushuiia, a great night at the ruta 40 Hostel in Rio Grande with the gang and then two nice days camping near Tolhuin at camping Hain, well recommended for a stop. Today we made the obligitory trip to the end of Ruta 3. Reflections on Ruta 3, boring as hell in the main but glimpses of scenery, the last 200 miles are the best (apart from the potholes on the ripio section between Cerro Sombrerro and the border with Argentina again) Speaking of Cerro Sombrerro , if you do need fuel we got well ripped of as we didn't have Cheilean Pesos, we got an exchance of 60 Chilean rate to 1 Arg instaed of the official rate of 97, thats life and if you need fuel then you have to pay, but be warned if you are here thats the order of the day. Chilling for a week in Ushuaia now. More stuff and pics on the blog at www.ginoontour.blogspot.com

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
