any big bike tyre shops in Vientiane?

Looking to replace my well worn tyres in Vientiane with something suitable for a Suzuki Dr650 with 17inch rear and 21 inch front. Any bike shop suggestions most welcome

Check the Laos forum on GT-Rider.com and visit the local bike rental shops. Some of them have bigger bikes, but there isn't much beyond 250cc, as the govt. banned them a few years ago. I think your best bet is to wait until you get to Thailand.
