Good workshop: Cochabamba - Bolivia

Charlie,
Tusmula 406 -Esquina Mayor Roche
Tel: 247 582 - Cochabamba

Very good guy, speaks excellent english and was very helpful and friendly.

He got our BMWs fixed (head race bearing problem etc...)

He found us good dual tyres (albeit we had to wait some time) and did various bits on the bikes. Very competent and works on big bikes all the time.
We saw DR650s, Africa Twins... in the workshop.

Highly recommended!

I will vouch for Coco and his dad. They are great mechanics and great people. Coco is very knowledgeable in all brands of bikes. I met him randomly asking for directions to a bike shop and he helped me run errands for half a day and installed a new battery and changed my coolant for free.

This is the best shop in Bolivia to have your bike fixed.

Parts tyres bits and bobs

We have been in Cochabamba for a while know and have got to know Boris and his little shop which we can highly recommend if you are looking for tyres, oil, filters etc.

A great place to start looking if you are needing help with things if all else fails.

Sadly Boris doesn't speak great English but knows where to find things, if you are really stuck he has a good friend (1200GS Rider) Willy Vega who speaks great English and can help if necessary.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
