We recommend Honda Ebem too, they let us have some space to work on the bike and advised when needed.
They have a fullon workshop, even redrilling cylinders etc.
Definately a place where you can get stuff done.

other repair and parts options in Santa Cruz, Bolivia

I had the 50.000 km service on my BMW 1200 GSA done at

Andar Motos
Juan Carlos Cespedes
Tel 341-4141
340-5732
cell 773-36534
Av. Banzer 656

A few caveats:
1. Although the service was performed well enough as I can say now 7000km later, I definitely felt overcharged.
2. A friend needed to have his Wilbers rear shock fixed (didn't hold gas). The "specialist" mechanic said "no problem, I've done this many times". Result: He lost a piece while dissembling it, the shock held neither gas nor oil afterwards and my friend bounced on the spring alone all the way to Asuncion, PY, where he got a new rear shock.
3. Not sure about the street address, could be Juan Carlos' private address. Best call and ask. Or contact Andar Motors S.R.L. - BMW Bolivia the local BMW car dealer. They do sell a few bikes, but Juan Carlos' shop does all the technical stuff for them. You could ask for Nicolas Demmer, phone 3-3353160 who also speaks German.

Also: Juan Carlos' brother Pablo Cespedes runs

Kawamoto s.r.l.
Av. Christo Rendedor (ex Banzer) No. 950
Tel +591-3-3415976
Cell 760-05904

Pablo also sells clothing, tools, etc., I even found a tubeless repair kit at his shop.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
