He does not speak much spanish. He is helping us rebuilding the front end of my BMW F650GS, following a crash in carretera austral.
Pablo is more of a general mechanic, but he rides enduro bikes and is the only guy in town working on motorbikes. Was very competent dealing with my bike so far.

He can also find you tyres.
Recommended, very helpful and pleasant.

Cheers,

I second that!

He fixed up my Africa Twin front end after a massive wipe out in early 2005. Can't thank him enough.

He seemed confident and capable from my experience but you really have to get on top of him in order to get any work done. He did not repair anything for me but my friend Will who bought his bike in Coyhaique told me that he always has atleast 12 projects going at once.

I needed a connecting link and he thought his friend might have one and told me to come back in a couple hours. I came back when he said and waited an hour and a half on him. Than he took off without telling me that he was leaving and I had to come back the next day to find out that his friend did not have the part.

a good help!

We went to Pablo last week and he help us source a 2nd hand tyre as well as piece our pannier frames back together which had been totally broken apart at the welds by the vibration (and a couple of incidents).

He was very helpful and worked with us non-stop for 2 days.

His place is just a driveway off the main Street too, so not the easiest to find.

Also the only aluminium welding in Coyhaique:

Maestro Madrid (the welder, but doesn't speak English) - most of technical guys know him in the city and can direct you there.

Maestro works at his workshop in the corner of Av. Almirante Simpson and Libertad.
