Stuck in Dubrovnik

I know it's not a bad place to get stuck but at 25 Euros a night for a hostel and a tight budget I rather get out of here ASAP.
The story is, was about to ride into Dubrovnik when all of a sudden she lost her revs and all her power, shortly after it died completely. I am guessing it's an electrical problem as no electrics work (no lights etc) I checked the fuses and they are fine. The battery is also brand new.
Is anybody in the area and can offer an open hand or knows a mechanic???

She is a 1985 Suzuki GS550EF

Thank You )))

Hi Denis,

Haven't been stuck in Dub before but in general the locals are a pretty friendly bunch so connecting with a local bike club is a good way to go. You'll likely get some free suggestions, maybe some trouble shooting from a knowledgeable local and at minimum a referral to a local mechanic that they frequent. A search reveals one of the clubs hangs out here, probably a good place to start. Best of luck, hope it all works out for you.

Hi Denis,
If possible, please can you tell us how you got on and who helped you out? I'm about to arrive in Dubrovnik (that's if the bike makes it) and shall need some assistance.
Thanks

I was there a little while back, did notice down in the old town there was a bikers cafe near the cable car station. Big sign on a wall somewhere up there. Good place start if you struggle. Its not far from the gates to the old town, as you look at the gates go up hill to the left. Also I remember seeing a scooter hire place at the ferry port and the old town where the buses all stop which may be able to point you in the right direction.

Croatia

Thanks g6snl,
The Bikers Cafe was a perfect place to start, and that's not just for all the beer that was bought for me.
Introduced to the "best bike mechanic in town".....
