I recently had a rear Transalp wheel rebuilt by a chap in Portsmouth, UK. He fitted hand bent heavy duty spokes with wider nipples, and also trued the wheel and thoroughly checked the hubb for defects. Although not cheap, I'm very pleased with what he did. It cost 116 GBP, but would have been cheaper but for having to drill out the rim to accept the wider nipples. He also fitted a thick butyl rim tape and freed off a bearing that had been fitted too tight by another mechanic, but that's another story......
