How is the Honda dealer J. Esparza on CA1 doing? They were real helpful to me in 2001. I remember they had a large stock of tires, too.

help in Costa Rica

yo

In San Jose
- a German who rents out KLR 650 and has a good mechanic in house

In the Volcano Arenal area
- Arenal on the lake - German guy who has a small restaurant, takes up long distance bike travelers and know mechanics

- La Fortuna - at the village entrance is a bike shop with tires and spare parts - and I found some guy who does weld aluminum, fixed the engine housing of my brothers KLR 650

greetings
Matt

Smile Hello to Motomech

I'm a biker that lives in Cartago.
This is a message to said hello to motomech and that maybe in Jan-2008 we can see in Guanacaste.

I'm not a mechanic but know very much about the workshops of San José. I also can help travellers if they contact me.

I guess you are referring to Wild Rider Costa Rica - Motorcycle Rental, they have helped me a couple of time, too.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
