Repair shop in Addis Ababa?

Limped into Addis today with what sounds like gear problems.

Anybody know of somebody reliable around here that can help with my Honda Transalp '97?

Thanks,

Namsa

There is a man in Addis named Flavio- an Italian fellow starting a KTM shop/dealership there. He's a nice guy and knows bikes. He helped me out and was going to work on my bike- but a lost cell phone prevented this. I'll look for more info and post it here. Check out the Beer Garden Inn towards the airport if you have some time, cool place. H.

Hope this works for you!

Hook,

Thank you so much for your message!

We got in touch with Flavio, and he is indeed a very nice guy! He made a diagnosis of our bike, and recommended another mechanic here in Addis(Flavio was about to leave town on a bike trip so couldn't help us) who turned out to be equally great. Plus, he wouldn't accept our money!!! See my next post.

Regards,

Namsa.

PS. Will keep you up to date on how good the mechanic really was on ABOUT US « Orphea’s African Tales.

Automatic Transmission Fluid is a good, and we'll proven, alternative when you can't get the real stuff (or even when you can - its a lot cheaper)
