4X4 Nairobi, Kenya

Hi guys just wondering if anyone knows a good 4x4 garage in Nairobi just to service our landcruiser, which isn't the expensive toyota dealership!

Any recommendations would be much appreciated, cheers ed!

Hi there!

We're driving ourselves with a Toyota Landcruiser to South-Africa and we had some problems in Nairobi.

You can get help in Jungle junction but they told us that it was quite expensive.

If you're able to repair it yourself you can buy spare parts at' Cmmercial Motor Spares'. They are at 13 Dungard/10 Bandari Rd and they sell real parts, no fakes. info@cms.co.ke 0728866688
I saw that they also had a garage, but we didn't have it serviced there.

We had it serviced by a local, that another traveller recommended and we are happy about the service. The person in charge is Joe, he used to work in the UK so his English is very good. josiah.mwaniki@gmail.com or 0722571511
(if you go there, please say hi from us!)
We never paid more than 1500ksh per hour.

At the moment we're updating our site with this usefull information, keep an eye on it if you need something later

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
