Editing videos on an iFad?

Hello,

Wondering if anybody uses an iFad to edit their videos?

I'm planning a trip and would like to put together some nice videos using stills/footage/selfie video diary from my iPhone camera and footage/stills from nuviz helmet camera.

Thinking about investing in an iFad (rather than taking my laptop) and using LumaFusion to edit each day's footage/still into a little montage/video blog.

Just wondering if anybody uses a similar set up?

Whilst the same software will run on an iPhone I'm thinking that the bigger screen of an iFad mini will be easier to work on and still small enough to pack easily.

Yes. 4K on the latest Air. The pro will be better.

As long as you aren’t looking to get too deep into titles, effects and spot color grading you can do a surprisingly good cut.

I couldn’t find the video where a guy edited 4K on his Air. But this vid discuss s similar.

Yes you can edit videos on an Ipad. The best editor is luma fusion.

The only problem with an Ipad is that it does not support native read / write to external media. You have to get involved with stupid wireless hard drives or cloud based storage. Or other stupid / expensive solutions.

At one point I did consider an Ipad, but in the end I went for a laptop. I run windows and Linux and could not be happier. I really could not live with the stupid Apple restrictions.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
