Colour all washed out - digi
 

Hi

Just returned from marvellous trip to morocco, where I took many photos of landscape. Trouble is, it looks like the photos were taken through fog - all the colours have washed out.

Too late to do anything other than try to fix these with photoshop (not much hope there then as I am all thumbs), but why are my pics so faded?

Fog tends to fool the light meter into underexposing by about half to a full stop or, maybe the white balance was in the wrong setting, it could be both. Anyway, its hard to tell if we don't see an example.

Unless you show a sample image, it is difficult to guess. Perhaps you shot a lot in middle of day, when colors are flat and may look washed out?

Did the same thing with 4 months worth of photos of my Mexico trip. What does a guy from Minnesota know about tropical sunlight?
Now I use filters and pay close attention my white balance.

Ok, so wich filters should I take to Syria and Jordan?
Will a polarisation filter already make a good difference?
