Seems like lot of people on this post have travelled in and around Ladakh extensively. Does anyone know how to get to daulat beg oldi from Leh?

In mid september, I will start a round trip from Srinagar to Leh covering Zanskar thne moving on to manali, Dharamshila and back to Srinagar via Jammu. I am really intrigued with Daulat.. this place has the highest altitude airbase in the world(claimed by India).

I have done Srinagar to Leh and back on motorbile twice. This time I want ot take it a step further and seems like it is not a perfect time of the year to go on these routes but this is the time I have. :-)

Any tips will be helpful!!

There is no way you can get to DBO. Army restricts entry there. Though ive heard that BRO is building a motorable road to DBO from somewhere close to Agham village. But the current way is from Marsimik La. After crossing M La you have the depsang plains and further you have DBO.

Indian citizens are allowed to go till M La top but no further. Foreign nationals aren't allowed there.
