I currently ride a Jialing JH150gy2 which is a totally different bike but do have experience with the Jialing motor corp. In China they're bikes are regarded as some of the best (which is at least something) but I would STRONGLY recommend you break this bike in slowly for LD adventure travel.

For more detailed pictures and even come CAD images of this bike, check out....

great! i see you're in China. what do you recommend for touring there? is the 600 an export only?
i've heard Jialing is/was in joint venture with Honda?

Jialing 600 in China

Jialing 600 is sold domestically now and therefore one of the few bigger bikes that can be registered in at least some Chinese cities. Should be around 35000 Yuan including registration. I have heard a legally registered Chinese bike can also cross borders, say to Laos and on to Thailand - not Vietnam and of course not Myanmar.

That's like saying cancer is better than AIDS!

Go and have a good look at some of these Chinese bikes before you even consider parting with your cash. There are plenty of companies in the UK who have gone out of business due to warranty claims so don't even think of ordering one off the 'net. IMHO, you're better off with a 10 year old Japanese bike.

Hi guys,

just to let you know, I rode the Jialing this summer in China. The bike is really okay, I did a couple of thousands kilometers on a trip in the western part of Kunming(Lijang, Shangri La, Tiger leaping Canyon). I had a great time, the bike looks a little bit like a Transalp, but it is 1 cylinder, water cooled, fuel injected. Less horsepower than the F 650, I guess 35 - 40 HP. The bike worked fine. I rented it somehow...
