Improving Aprilia Pegaso top end

I am wondering if it is possible to improve my 1998 Pegaso' top end speed. not to go faster but just to keep the revs lower at cruising speeds. Mainly to reduce long-distance fuel costs. I used to change motocross bikes rear sprockets to achieve results, but is it possible on a Peg and if so where does one find a smaller sprocket?

Any help would be appreciated!

i would suggest the same 4 teeth less on the back sprocket or one more on the front,have you tried your local dealer?might be similar sprockets to another brand.
