I changed the tyres on my dads Nevada yesterday. What a total pig of a job
The front is Ok, but the 16" rim on the rear is basically oversize for the choice of tyres available. Now I've changed tyres in a dozen locations on a dozen bikes in the space of 10 years, even managing such disasters as the BMW F650 rear, but this Guzzi 16" finally defeated me. The only choice of tyres to give the matched pair he wanted were Tubeless, so I expected them to be tight, but this was insane. Out local tyre fitter took nearly an hour with a full press available
, we had no chance with a mechanical bead breaker and levers.
So, if anyone is thinking about using these Guzzi's for touring, I'd say leave the tyre levers at home and carry some gloop
