Acerbis handguards for Aprilia
Sorry if this is a dumb question: I have just got some Acerbis Mulitplo E handguards for my Aprilia Pegaso Trail. There are inserts to go into the handlebars to hold the handguard frames. However, the existing threaded insert for the bar ends are reluctant to come out. I don't want to force them in case I break something. How should they be removed? Am I missing something obvious (likely)? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Mollydog; I used the existing bolts to secure the guards. Had to leave the bar ends on as the thread in the handlebar only takes about half the bolt, so the guards would be loose without the "slack" being taken up by the bar end. Seems to work OK; I'll get some new bars eventually, but as a stop-gap solution it looks good. I'll try not to test it by dropping the bike though
