Visa to Mongolia - airport

Hello

Is it possible to do a visa on the Mongolian Ulaanbaatar international airport?

We are flying to Mongolia next month but we don’t have any embassy or consulate in Portugal.

Is it’s possible what documentation is needed?

Thks in advance

Sounds like you might be able to get it at the airport when you arrive.

You might have a consulate in Lisbon... But this info might be wrong.

There seems to be one in France also.

A month is a long time. I would If I were you, I would try to get a pre-arraigned visa. I would at least try to call or email a consulate in Europe to see what they suggest.

hello

we have a consulate but they don't make visas.

"Foreign passengers to Mongolia who do not qualify for visa exemption AND who are holding confirmation of a pre-arranged visa, can obtain a single-entry visa on arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport (ULN), provided that (i) their passport is valid for at least one year beyond the date of their arrival in Mongolia; (ii) they are in possession of two passport photos; (iii) they are arriving from a country without diplomatic representation of Mongolia; and (iv) a sponsor in Mongolia submits a request on their behalf to the Mongolian Immigration Authority. The fee for visas issued on arrival is MNT 95000 and USD 3.

(i) their passport is valid for at least one year beyond the date of their arrival in Mongolia;
(ii) they are in possession of two passport photos;
(iii) they are arriving from a country without diplomatic representation of Mongolia;
(iv) a sponsor in Mongolia submits a request on their behalf to the Mongolian Immigration Authority

(I), (II), (III) are ok

(IV) Does any one has experience with this request? Do we need to take the request with us or should it be sent from the "sponsor" to the Mongolian immigration authority?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
